Our  Purpose

Black Men That Pray is devoted to fostering spiritual growth, brotherhood, and empowerment through community and prayer.

Our mission is to provide a platform for black men to come together in faith, supporting each other and building fellowship.

Black Men That Pray was founded by a group of brothers who recognized a deeper need in our communities. We created a space where Black men could come together, strengthen their faith, uplift one another, and build real brotherhood rooted in love, truth, and action.

This movement was born out of genuine friendship, shared experiences, and a commitment to walk by faith and not by sight. We believe that when Black men lead with faith everything around them changes for the better. Their families grow stronger, their communities rise higher, and their legacy speaks louder.

At Black Men That Pray we are not motivated by fame or fortune. We are motivated by purpose impact and the responsibility to be the change we want to see. Whether through our weekly gatherings community drives apparel or future media projects everything we do is guided by faith and brotherhood.

There was a time I felt like I was carrying the world on my shoulders & trying to be the provider, the protector, and the example without ever asking God for help. I thought praying was a sign of weakness, but the real weakness was thinking I could do it alone.

One night, overwhelmed and empty, I dropped to my knees and prayed. I really prayed, for the first time in years. I didn’t have the perfect words. I just had pain and a desire for peace.

Since that night, I’ve seen God restore my strength, open doors I couldn’t knock on, and give me purpose in my pressure. I still face storms, but now I know who’s in the boat with me. Faith didn’t change everything around me, but it changed everything inside me.

Last year, I lost my job unexpectedly. I was the main provider for my family, and the weight of bills, expectations, and uncertainty hit me hard. Depression started to creep in, and I questioned my worth daily. One night, I dropped to my knees and cried out to God—not for money, not for answers, but for peace. I asked Him to guide me through the storm and to strengthen my faith even when things didn’t make sense. Over the next few weeks, doors began to open. A friend connected me to a new opportunity that aligned perfectly with my passion. It didn’t happen overnight, but every day I chose to trust Him, He showed me I wasn’t alone.

Prayer didn’t just change my situation. It changed me. I’m stronger, wiser, and more grounded in my faith.
